Short answer: A gang sheet is one long sheet of DTF film, 22″ wide, filled with as many designs as you can fit. You pay for the length of the sheet, not the number of designs, so packing it tightly lowers your cost per print. At BeeDTF a 22″ × 12″ sheet costs $6, and longer sheets drop to $0.42 per inch.

Most people meet the word "gang sheet" when they first price out DTF and notice that one 3″ logo on its own costs more than eighteen of them on a sheet. That is the whole idea. Printers have always "ganged" jobs together to use material efficiently; a DTF gang sheet just hands that saving to you. This guide is the hub of our gang sheet and ordering series and explains how sheets are priced, how much fits, and when ordering single DTF transfers by size makes more sense.

  • Price: $6 per 22″ × 12″; $0.50 → $0.42 per inch on longer sheets.
  • Designs: as many as fit, any mix of sizes and artwork.
  • Spacing: leave at least ¼″ between designs for cutting.
  • Ships: same day when ordered by 2 PM PT, Mon–Fri.

What is a gang sheet?

A gang sheet is a single DTF transfer sheet with several designs printed on it together. Each design is still a separate transfer: you cut them apart with scissors and press each one where you need it. The sheet itself is just the way the film is bought and printed.

How does a gang sheet save you money?

A gang sheet saves money because DTF printing cost is driven by film area, not by how many designs there are. Every inch of the sheet costs the same whether it holds one logo or twelve. Filling the empty space with extra designs makes each one cheaper.

Order As single transfers On one gang sheet
18 left-chest logos (3″) 18 × $1.25 = $22.50 One 22″ × 12″ sheet: $6 (about $0.33 each)
6 adult fronts (10″ × 12″) + 12 logos More than $25 One 48″ sheet: $24
Mixed: names, sleeves, pocket logos Priced one by one All on one sheet, priced by length

The saving grows with the number of small designs. Big single designs (a full back print) gain less, because they fill the width on their own. That is where mixing sizes on one sheet helps; see how to make a gang sheet for layout tricks.

How is a gang sheet priced?

Gang sheets are priced by length on a fixed 22″ width. The longer the sheet, the lower the price per inch.

BeeDTF gang sheet price per inch by length: 12 to 48 inches at 0.50 dollars per inch, 60 to 108 inches at 0.45, 120 to 300 inches at 0.42, and wholesale 400 to 1000 inches from 0.40 down to 0.34 per inch
Longer sheets cost less per inch.
Sheet length Price Per inch
12″ $6.00 $0.50
24″ $12.00 $0.50
48″ $24.00 $0.50
60″ $27.00 $0.45
96″ $43.20 $0.45
120″ $50.40 $0.42
240″ $100.80 $0.42
300″ $126.00 $0.42
400″ (wholesale) $160.00 $0.40
1,000″ (wholesale) $340.00 $0.34

How many designs fit on a gang sheet?

It depends on the size of your designs and how tightly they are packed. These are realistic counts for one 22″ × 12″ sheet with ¼″ spacing:

Design size Fits on 22″ × 12″ Cost each ($6 sheet)
2″ × 2″ (hat, label) 45 about $0.13
3″ × 3″ (left chest) 18 about $0.33
4″ × 4″ (pocket, sleeve) 10 $0.60
10″ × 11″ (adult front) 2 $3.00
11″ × 11.5″ (large front) 1 (fill the rest with small designs) up to $6

Gang sheet or single transfers: which should you order?

Use a gang sheet when you have several designs or many small ones. Use single transfers when you want many copies of one design and no layout work at all.
