Where exactly does a left chest logo go?
A left chest logo goes on the wearer's left side, with the top of the logo 7″ to 9″ below the shoulder seam and its center 3″ to 4″ from the center line. On most adult shirts the center of the logo lines up roughly with the armpit.
- Fold the shirt in half lengthwise and press a light crease to mark the center.
- Measure 3″–4″ from the crease toward the wearer's left. That is the center of the logo.
- Measure 7″–9″ down from the shoulder seam. That is the top of the logo.
- Place the transfer, cover it and press at 275°F for 7 seconds.

Polos, button-ups and zip hoodies take a slightly smaller left chest logo, about 3″ to 3.5″, because a placket or zipper sits closer to the logo.

How do you design a left chest logo that prints well?
A left chest logo prints well when its text is at least 0.2″ tall and its lines are at least 1 pt thick. At 4″ wide, thin details and long taglines disappear.

- Make small text bold.
- Avoid hairline outlines and tiny gradients.
- Export a transparent PNG at 300 DPI at the final size (about 1,200 pixels for a 4″ logo).
